I'm born and raised in the area. I have a BS degree in Biology/Chemistry & a Master's in Science Education specializing in Engineering Education. I started teaching at GBHS in 1990, moved to Costa Rica, taught there for 2 years, and then taught in Tampa for 1 year at an independent school. In 2006 I moved to Wheaton, IL and taught at Aurora West High for 5 years before returning to GBHS. I love it here and this is home.
I have completed National Board Certification in Chemistry and renewed this Certification in 2009. I received my Master's at University of Northern Illinois and completed an Engineering Internship in Micro-technology at the University of Illinois in Chicago. I am certified to teach Biology, Chemistry, General Science, and ESE 9-12 Classes.
I am married, have grown children and grand kids. I also have 4 English Bulldogs.
